The ultimate apex of ONE LIFE & GLORY by Henry Hon with Doug Krieger concludes with Chapters 12, 13 and 14 (Booklet 4) entitled “Building: Ekklesia in Oneness and Mutuality (Sections A & B).” Doctrine and teaching on Ekklesia is one thing–actual experience of a living, vital, dynamic expression of Ekklesia is another matter. We are given concrete clues to “What does Ekklesia look like” from both the book of Romans, other epistles, but especially from 1 Corinthians chapters 11-14. Jesus said He would build His Ekklesia and that the Gates of Hades would not prevail against it–so, Ekklesia is consequential to the uttermost in Christian theology and practice! In this booklet we will cover the major characteristics of God’s Ekklesia and how, why, what, and even where it takes place. It is of major importance that believers come to recognize the difference in function/practice of ministry vs. Ekklesia. Whereas all believers are members of the Ekklesia, the “expression” of an Ekklesia–the gathering of the “elect”–is exceedingly different than one’s ministry. Therefore, this booklet is vital to our understanding of “equipping” by ministries vs. actual functioning of a gathering of God’s people as His Ekklesia. At the conclusion we will briefly summarize the vision of Ekklesia.
