God’s Economy and the New Covenant – ONE TRUTH Book 4

This is the fourth in the five-part series on ONE TRUTH (the entire book). This covers chapters 7, 8 and 9. Henry Hon covers the “Oikonomia” or Economy of God dealing with the Mystery of God’s Eternal Purpose. Also, covered in this chapter will be: (1) Being a steward dispensing the grace and/or the riches of Christ; (2) the revelation concerning the mystery of Christ; (3) dispensing the unsearchable riches of Christ for all humanity; (4) God’s desire for all men to see and participate in His economy/administration; (5) Christ in you the very Hope of Glory; (6) the privilege and responsibility in this economy; (7) The One God working as Three (Trinity) in the Economy of God. In chapter 8 Hon discusses the First or Old Covenant and the New Covenant (Section A). In this chapter the following points are disclosed: (1) What is a Covenant? (2) The Old Covenant – the Law; (3) the positive purposes of the Old Covenant; (4) God’s Testimony of Who He is; (5) The Covenant is in essence a mutual marriage vow between God and Israel; (6) the negative purposes of the First Covenant; and, finally, freed from the Law and joined to Jesus Christ. The final chapter 9 will go deeper into the New Covenant (Section B). Here Hon will cover (1) the four blessings of the New Covenant; (2) the effective date and the executor of the New Testament/Covenant; (3) receiving all that God has accomplished by faith; (4) the coming Judgment: the motivation to enjoy and to dispense the benefits of the New Covenant; and finally (5) the standard of judgment under the New Covenant for believers.
